The guns on the sides are smaller guns like miniguns, shotguns, etc. Some guns need to be bought before you can use them, you can earn money by completing races. You need to choose each one of them from the huge variety of guns. There are 3 guns in total on your car, 2 on the sides and one on the top. Some have better armor but lower speeds, and some are balanced, choose your preferred car. Each car has different properties, some have better acceleration but lower speed. You need to choose your car and loadout first though, there are a lot of cars that you can choose from but not all of them will be available to you, at first sight, you need to unlock the later cars by winning races or some of them have to be bought.
